Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune, which was established in 1996, is run and managed by Sinhgad Technical Education Society. Located at Pune in Maharashtra, the college offers All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved engineering courses at various degree levels. The undergraduate level programs offered by the autonomous institution are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. Sinhgad College of Engineering has got the affiliation from University of Pune. Further, “A” grade has been awarded to the college by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai. The lush green environment of the institute encourages better understanding among the aspirants.

Sinhgad College of Engineering is one of the premier technical education institute located in the city of Pune.The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). It is located at Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune, India. The college takes its name from the nearby Maratha fort. It has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and recognized by the AICTE. The institute has also been awarded an “A” Grade by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

65% of students are admitted on the basis of marks scored on the Maharashtra Engineering Entrance Test (CET) and 15% of the students from outside Maharashtra state are admitted through the All-India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). The remaining 20% of students are admitted through management quota.

The training and placement cell on the campus is in charge of preparing students in the third (and sometimes fourth) year to appear for campus interviews.In recent years, companies such as Persistent Systems, Accenture, NVidia, TCS, IBM India, Cognizant, Infosys, SunGuard, L&T Infotech, KPIT, General Motors, TCTS, CMC Ltd, Lafarge, Daimler Chrysler, Shapoorji Pallonji, Cyronics, and Kirloskar Brothers have been some of the companies that have actively recruited undergraduates. For the past three years maximum salary reached to 8 lacs/annum, with the average being around 2.5 lacs/annum.
