a) Eligibility:
i) Candidate should have obtained MBBS Degree from a MCI recognized institution.
ii) Candidate should have completed one year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination before 30th April of the Academic year.
Duration:
Degree Course: 36 Months
Diploma Course: 24 Months
Candidates who have passed Diploma examination in the same subject, when he/she takes up Degree Course in the same Subject . Course duration of study will be 24 months.

A) MBBS: Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery. Duration: 4 ½ Years + One Year Compulsory Rotating Internship. Total Annual Intake: 245 The percent of seat sharing between Government of Karnataka and Management is in the ratio of 50:50 (Subject to Change).

Course of study Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 ½ academic years from the date of commencement of his/her study for the subject comprising a medical curriculum to the date of completion of the examination followed by the year compulsory rotating internship.

The 4 ½ years Course has been divided into three Phases. Phase I – One year consisting of two terms of six months each. Phase II – One and half years consists of three terms of six months each. Phase III – Consists of seven terms after Phase – I. It runs concurrently with Phase – II and during Phase – II Para-clinical and clinical subjects will be taught concurrently.

Subjects of Study Phase – I a) Human Anatomy including Embryology & Histology. b) Human Physiology including Biophysics c) Biochemistry.

Phase – II a) Pathology – General and Systemic Pathology. b) Microbiology – Bacteriology, Parasitology, Virology, Mycology and Immunology. c) Pharamacology including Pharmaco – Therapeutics. d) Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

Phase – III is divided into two parts – Part I & II

The subjects of Phase III – Part I are

a) Community Medicine b) Ophthalmology and c) Otorhinolaryngology The subjects of Phase III – Part II are

a) Medicine & its allied specialities which include General Medicine, Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases, Dermatology & STD. Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis and infectious diseases, etc.,
b) Pediatrics including Neonatology.
c) Surgery & its allied specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery including Physiotherapy and rehabilitation, Anesthesia.
d) Obstetrics & Gynecology including Family medicine & Family Welfare Planning.
