The extreme shortage of medical facilities promoted Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation to establish Medical College at Vilad Ghat, Ahmednagar in 2004. Under the able guidance and mature insight of the founder Shree Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, the institute has acquired remarkable achievements both in terms of academic & health services at grass root level. The College offers undergraduate course in Medicine (MBBS) with an intake of 150 students per year. The institute is recognized by Medical Council of India, New Delhi in December, 2008 and is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. The Medical complex is situated in an area of 33 acres in the beautiful scenario of Vilad Ghat, Ahmednagar.
The college also offers Post Graduate Medical Course in the following disciplines from 2011.
The institute is also recognized for Ph.D. Centre in 3 disciplines.

Courses & Details
Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil (MD/MS Radiology Admission) Foundation’s Medical College offers 5.5 years Bachelor’s Degree Course in M.B.B.S. , 3 years Postgraduate MD / MS course & 2 years University Postgraduate Diploma. Admission to the said courses is strictly as per Merit prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (NEET). The reservation of seats for SC / ST / OBC / VJ / NT1 / NT2 / NT3 will be as per Maharashtra State Government Notification.
Domicile Requirement – Indian National
Candidate, who have passed S.S.C. or equivalent examination from an institute situated outside Maharashtra State and H.S.C. or equivalent examination from within Maharashtra, is eligible for seeking admission to the course in Health Sciences provided that He / She is an Indian National.

Eligibility & Admission Criteria For UG & PG Courses
Eligibility For MBBS
A candidate will be eligible for admission to Health Science Course (MBBS ) for the academic year on fulfillment of the following conditions:
- The candidate may be an Indian National / NRI / Foreign National. The candidate is required to produce proof in support of his / her Nationality from a District Magistrate, Additional Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate.
- School Leaving Certificate of HSC / 12th Std. indicating the Nationality of the candidates Indian or Valid passport also shall be considered a sufficient proof of Nationality.
- The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission for the course. The Secondary School Certificate (i.e. S.S.C.) or equivalent examination certificate or the certificates of age and nationality endorsing the date of birth will constitute the valid proof (The eligibility of age shall be as prescribed by MCI, New Delhi from time to time.).
- The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness.

Criteria
- A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
- A Candidate belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
- No rounding off of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks out of 300. For example, if the total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes to 49.66 that will not qualify the candidate.
- The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent in March/April–2016 are also eligible to appear for NEET-2016, provided they must full-fill the eligibility conditions.
- The eligibility conditions may vary in accordance with Judicial Pronouncements and orders issued by appropriate Authorities from time to time.
Eligibility For MD / MS (PG Courses)
- A candidate who has passed final M.B.B.S. Examination from a recognized Medical College included in the schedule of the Indian Medical Act 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council or State Medical Council after completing one-year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for NEET PG. Registration is a condition precedent for appearing at NEET PG for Post Graduate Degree or Diploma Courses.
- The full/ permanent MCI / MMC registration is a condition precedent for appearing at NEET PG and its proof including submission of application for registration should be enclosed.
- A candidate who has completed one year compulsory Internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 1st August 2023 can appear for NEET PG-2023.
- Candidates likely to complete their internship on or before 1/08/2023 should submit documentary proof from their Principals/Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of Internship. Candidate will be fully responsible for submitting correct information in the Application Form.
- Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing / completed the course are not eligible for appearing at NEET PG-2023. Candidates who have completed PG Diploma is eligible to appear for the NEET PG-2023 for admission to PG Degree in the same subject only.
- Candidate should keep one photocopy of his/her application form duly filled in with him/her for future reference.
