Bharath Institute of Science and Technology was established in the year 1984 by Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational and Social Trust. BIST acquired deemed university recognition by UGC in 2003 and became Bharath University.

Bharath University Campus:

The University is located at Agharam Road, Selaiyur in the Chennai district of Tamil Nadu. The campus is spread over in 350 acres of land in the urban area of Chennai. The campus is well-connected by the road.

Bharath University Programmes:

Bharath University conducts 46 bachelor’s degrees, 102 master degree programs, diploma & certificate courses and research programmes like M.S, M.Phill and Ph.D courses in various disciplines of engineering, science, medical, humanities and technology. College offers also research program in automation and robotics.

Students:

At present, total of 8357 students are pursuing their education at a time in all departments.

Facilities:
