Mount Carmel College Bangalore
Established in the year 1944 in Trichur, Mount Carmel College was owned and run by the congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa and affiliated to Madras University. Later on the 7th of July 1948, the college was transferred to Bangalore under the Mysore University. In 1964, Mount Carmel College became an affiliated college of Bangalore. Mount Carmel College was granted the autonomous status in September 2005 and affiliated to Bangalore University. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) re-accredited the college in 2006 with an A+. The College is recognised by UGC as a college with Potential for Excellence.

As per the Bangalore University norms under graduate students are expected to study according to the following
