Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College is a multi and intra-disciplinary medical college and research institution working as an independent body of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. The College is located in a majestic building within the vast sprawling campus, furnished with the latest and best available audio-visual teaching aids such as OHP, LCD, visualizer, electronic teaching boards etc. provided in all the lecture theatres, departments and teaching points. The lectures are corroborated with practical exercise, in each department having its own individual laboratory.

Presently, the college has 20 departments including Anatomy, Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology, STD & Leprosy, Forensic Medicine, General Surgery, Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology & Head & Neck Surgery, Pathology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Physiology, Radio-Diagnosis. In addition, we also have a Central Research Station with advanced research facility, Medical Education Unit and Central and Department libraries. The college is also offering Super-specialties in Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Plastic-surgery.

Our all departments are attached to a computer lab with CDs, internet facilities for the students for self-learning and surfing. Department libraries are stocked with the latest editions of books, publications and National and International Journals, on the subjects, in addition to the Central Library, where more than 50,000 books on different specialties are available.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College has committed and distinguished faculties, which is a matter of immense pride for the college. The faculty members of the college, apart from teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, are actively involved in research activities and have presented research papers at various National and International conferences in their respective specialties. They have a number of publications to their credit in national and international journals. Many of them have even authored books on their subjects. Various guest lectures, CMEs, Symposia and Seminars are being organized at regular intervals for faculty members and students to continuously upgrade their knowledge. The medical Education unit of the college regularly holds workshops to upgrade the teaching skills of the faculty members. The college has constituted various regulatory body and committees including Ethical committee, Pharmacovigilance Committee, College Council, Academic Council, Research Degree Committee, P.G. Committee, Anti-Ragging and Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee, etc. Institutional Ethical Committee (Registration No. ECR/256/Inst/UP/2013) is registered under government of India, Rule 122DD of the Drug & Cosmetics Rules 1945.

The Mycobacteriolgy Laboratory in the department of Microbiology has received National Certification from Revised National Tuberculosis Control programme. The Subharti Medical College has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Laboratories & National Accreditation Board for Hospital for conducting various tests of Clinical Pathology, Hematology, Histopathology, Cytology, Serology, Microbiology, Immunology and Clinical Biochemistry, etc. The Subharti Medical College is participating in National Health Programmes such as National Blindness Control, Blood Safety, AIDS Control, Mental Health Programme, Dots programme, besides conducting Health and Blood Donation Camps.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College has a dedicated teaching hospital named ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Hospital’. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Hospital is a premier 938 bedded tertiary care teaching hospital of Northern India which provides immense training and planning opportunities and a platform for the students of medical and allied fields. The Hospital provides round the clock accident and trauma care. It also provides general quality specialist and super-specialty medical care at highly subsidized rates to one and all. Also, attached to this Hospital is a 150 bedded super specialty modern and popular hospital in the heart of Meerut city named ‘The Lok Priya Hospital’.

Course Detail

Various graduate, postgraduate and doctorate academic programmes and courses including MBBS, MD, MS, M.Sc., Ph.D., B.Sc., P.G. Diploma, Diploma and certificate courses are going on in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College, Meerut. The details of the programmes are given below.

1.         FEE FOR PG COURSES:

A.(i) The fee decided by the Government vide their letter no. 238/71-4-18-37/2015 dated 31-03-2018, is as mentioned below:

(ii)The fee decided as mentioned in table above is ex-parte, arbitrary & illegal. The issue of fee of post graduate courses is already under consideration of the Hon’ble Supreme Court inSLP no. (C) 721/2018. Therefore, the fee decided by the Government is provisional and is subject to change in accordance with the orders of the Hon’bleSupreme Court. A separate Writ may also be filled against the order of the Government dated 31-03-2018.

(iii)Since, the matter is under consideration of the Hon’ble Court, the above fee is liable to change, therefore, the students who will be given admission on the basis of the above said fee, will have to give a registered undertaking that they will pay the fee as decided by the appropriate legal forum/Hon’bleCourt whenever decided.

OR

B.(i) The University has decided the fee structure for the PG courses, as below:

1. Stipend will be paid as per the MCI policy.

1. ** The fee structure is exclusive of the stipend, which shall be paid to the student. It means that if the stipend amounting Rs. 7,20,000/- per year (60,000/- per month) is paid to the students, then the student will have to pay Rs. 8,20,000/- per year for P.G. courses mentioned on serial number (a) and 9,20,000/- per year on serial number (b) in the table. However, the student will have the option to give an affidavit that the student does not want to take the stipend. In that case, the annual course fee will be Rs. 1,00,000/- per year as mentioned on serial number (a), Rs. 2,00,000/- on serial number (b).

1. The students, who decide to follow the fee structure decided by the University on their own, will be required to give the undertaking that they have voluntarily accepted the above fee structure without any pressure or coercion. Such students shall be indemnified by the college from any change in fee which may take place as a result of decision by the Hon’bleSupreme Court/any other relevant and legal factor, therefore, will not be required to give any registered undertaking as mentioned in point no. 1.A. (iii) herein above and Bank Guarantee as mentioned in clause no. 2 (ii) herein below.

2.         General instructions:

(i)    Full Fee will be required to be deposited before the LAST DATE declared by the Government / Counseling Board. No Part Payment of Fee is permitted.

(ii)   In accordance with the clause no. (8) (Ga) of the letter of the Principal Secretary, UP Government no. 12/71-4-2018-15/18 dated 08-03-2018, the student will have to give a bond that (s)he will have to pay the total amount of tuition fee of the full course, in case (s)he leaves the course in between. In order to execute the bond,  the candidate will have to submit a Bank Guarantee from a Nationalized Bank of the fee of remaining two years for degree course (one year for the diploma course) before the LAST DATE of admission as declared by the counseling board.

(iii)       Submission of bond forfollowing the working discipline of the Medical College:
It has been observed that the post graduate students enter into tie ups with private nursing homes and doctors and siphon of patients form the Medical College to Private clinics or hospitals, which shall not be accepted. The Medical College reserves the right to take disciplinary action against such P.G. students who do not follow the work discipline and do not maintain the occupancy of their wards as per the MCI rules.The action may include reductionof the amount / cancellation of stipend, suspension of the student from the course/duties or any other action as decided by the Disciplinary Committee of the College/University. Each student will have to give a registered bond to this effect.

(iv)      Submission of bond for doing duties in village centers after passing the course:
It has been observed that there is an acute deficiency of specialist care in the villages and sub-urban areas. Therefore, each student will have to work in the Medical College to be posted in the village/suburban centers of the Medical College/Swami Vivekanand Subharti University with which the College is affiliated for a period of two years after passing the course. The student will give a registered bond on the format decided by the University, assuring to work in the village / sub-urban center of the Medical College/University to provide the specialist Medical care to the poor & needy villagers for a period of two years.

(v)       Refundable security deposit: 

(a)       will be Rs. 5,00,000/- (Five Lacs Only) in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry,Microbiology, Pharmacology & Community Medicine.
(b)       will be Rs. 15,00,000/- (Fifteen Lacs Only) in Anesthesia (Degree & PG Diploma), ENT& Pathology.
(c)        will be Rs. 30,00,000/- (Thirty Lacs Only) in Surgery, Pediatric, Ophthalmology, Respiratory Medicine, Psychiatry and General Medicine.
(d)       will be Rs. 40,00,000/- (Forty Lacs Only) in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, & Dermatology.
(e)       will be Rs. 50,00,000/- (Fifty Lacs Only) in Radio-diagnosis.

Note:   The security fee has been decided keeping in mind, the cost of equipment which will be used by the PG students in different departments and also other relevant factors regarding the training in a particular subject and also like fighting cases in the consumer forum if any mishap happens by the trainee.

(vi)      An additional training, supplementary exam’s fee from failed/detained students will be charged, which will be as per the decision of the Executive Council of the University.

(vii)     Fee once deposited is non-refundable.
4.         Hostel is compulsory for the P.G. students of all the Clinical Departments and department of Pathology, Microbiology & Biochemistry.
5.         Hostel & Mess charges will be as follows:-
(a)   Rs. 4lacs per year for single accommodation with toilet.
(c)  The hostel and Mess charges are subject to revision by the College      any time.
6.       Refundable Hostel Security – Rs. 5,00,000/-.

Note:  i)          Fee once deposited is non-refundable.
ii)    Any condition can be relaxed or waived off by the Hon’ble V.C. in genuine cases on being applied by the student.
