About Karaikal
Vinayaka Missions Medical College: Karaikal is one of the four regions of the Union Territory of Pondicherry in India. It is the destination for those who seek solitude, leisure, serenity and piety. Karaikal is known all over the country for its unique and the only temple devoted to the Lord Saneeswara (Lord Saturn) at Thirunallar. Karaikal is the Gateway to various places of worship in the eastern coast of Tamilnadu.
Two famous shrines, Velankanni for Christians and Nagore for Muslims are nearby Karaikal. The French flavour still persists the peaceful land of Karaikal.

Vinayaka Missions Medical College Admission Criteria For MBBS Course: Admission to all Medical/Dental Undergraduate will be on the basis of performance in the NEET by NTA.
Eligibility for MBBS
Age Limit
The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years on or before the first day of July of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission.
Qualifying Examination
Selection of Students:
Based on NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) (NEET-UG) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Admission process done through General Counselling conducted by Medical Counseling Committee / Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
ACADEMIC YEAR, ACADEMIC TERM & DURATION OF COURSE OF STUDY
• The academic year commences from 1st August every year.
• The Academic Term for every Student shall be a certified period of study extending over 41/2 academic years followed by one year of Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship.
• First MBBS – 1 year
• Second MBBS – 1 ½ year
• Third MBBS – Part – 1 – 1 year
• Third MBBS – Part – 2 – 1 Year
• One year of compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship

- No objection certificate from the Government of India (Issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi)
- Student visa issued and endorsed by the competent authority. No objection Certificate issued by the Ambassador of the Candidates country or the competent authority to grant permission to stay and pursue education in India.
- All the relevant travel documents including the Passport.
- Necessary health certificates and Vaccination Certificates.

Vinayaka Missions Medical College Admission Procedure
NEET PG Entrance Examinations:
Vinayaka Missions Medical College- For Medical PG (MD, MS, DIPLOMA): NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS Courses as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS Courses.
