Admission Process
Admission is based on COMEDK UGET
- A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects.
- Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
- The students belonging to general category must have passed the aforesaid qualifying examination with at least 45% aggregate marks in PCM (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka).
Eligibility
B.E.:
- For UG, The admission to college is through the entrance test / Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government & Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka / COMEDK. The students with meritorious ranking are considered for admissions.
- A pass in PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English as one of the subject/language.
- A pass in PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination with 45 % marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics & any one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Computer science / Electronics.
- Candidates belongs to Karnataka SC, ST & other backward classes (Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B) the minimum marks for the eligibility will be 40% aggregate in the optional subjects.
*** Entrance Exam: KEA / COMEDK.
MBA:
- For admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program, the candidates shall have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years / semesters of the degree examinations. PGCET Score is must for Government Quota Students.
- However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and any other groups classified by the Government of Karnataka for such purpose from time to time, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall be not less than 45%.

MCA:
- Admission to Master of Computer Application(MCA)Program, the candidates shall have passed the prescribed qualifying examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years / semesters of the degree examinations. PGCET Score is must for Government Quota Students. The revised MCA course is for Two years or Four Semesters. This will be functional from the current academic year.
- However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and any other groups classified by the Government of Karnataka for such purpose from time to time, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall be not less than 45%.

M.Tech:
- A pass in B E/ B.Tech or equivalent examination.
- A written test is conducted by the university for candidates and rank list is obtained. Based on which, the candidate will appear for admission carried out through single window counseling process.
- Candidates with valid GATE score will be given first preference for the seat selection in the counseling process, then university rank holders.

Cutoff
DSCE, Bangalore offers a four-year BTech programme at the UG level. Admission to BTech programme is based on KCET score, followed by KCET Counselling, which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
