What is the NEET Cutoff?
The NEET cutoff is the minimum score or rank that a candidate must achieve in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) to qualify for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in India. The NEET cut-off is divided into two categories: admission cut-off and qualifying cut-off. NEET admission cut-off is the last rank at which a candidate will be admitted, whereas NEET qualifying is the minimum mark that a candidate must earn to pass the exam. The cutoff varies based on different factors such as the number of applicants, exam difficulty, category (General, OBC, SC, ST), and the number of seats available.
According to the previous year’s data, the passing marks in NEET UG cut-off were 720-138 for the general category and 137-108 for the SC/ST/OBC category. The general group had a percentile of 50, whereas the SC/ST/OBC category had a score of 40.
