The Dental college initial started functioning with student strength of forty. The clinical section of the Dental College started functioning during a wing of the K.V.G Hospital and analysis Centre, Sullia in month 1993. All the Departments of the College were shifted to a brand new Dental College Building in Dec 1993 that is found within the heart of the field. This new building was inaugurated on 1994 by the Chief Minister of state, Sri. Veerappa Moily and also the clinical wing was inaugurated by the President of Dental Council of Republic of India, Dr. R. K. Bali.
