Tripura NEET UG Counselling Eligibility Criteria

  • The applying seekers should have qualified for the NEET UG Entrance Examination.
  • Aspirants must have the domicile of Tripura.
  • The applying seekers must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English. These are the compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks. 40% marks are required for SC/ST category candidates. 45% marks are required for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Tripura NEET UG Counselling Process 2026

A candidate can visit the Directorate of Medical Education office under the Health & Family Welfare Government of Tripura. They can get themselves registered for NEET UG 2026 Tripura State Counselling.

Step 1: Registration process: Candidates seeking admission must register by filling out the application form’s personal, academic, and required details.

Step 2: Publishing merit list: Tripura NEET UG Counselling authority will publish the state merit list. This will happen after completing the application form.

Step 3: Documents verification: Candidates were called for document verification per their state merit rank. They had to report to the assigned verification centre with all the required documents.

Step 4: Choice filling and locking Process: After the successful verification session, candidates must fill in their choices of courses. They must also select colleges. Then they must close it. They are advised to enter their preferences carefully.

Step 5: Seat allotments: Seats will be allotted to applicants based on their choices and the availability of seats. State merit rank and seat reservation will also be considered. This is for the Tripura MBBS/BDS admission 2026.

Selection Procedure

Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in Tripura must register for NEET UG counselling 2026. Counselling of NEET 2026 for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

1. Candidate Registration: Register on the official website.
2. Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You must choose the courses and colleges of your preference. Lock these choices in the online portal selections.
3. Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online based on available vacancies and candidate’s choices.
4. Reporting to college: Those allotted seats in the first round must either reject the assigned middle. Alternatively, they can report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.
5. New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.
6. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1.
7. Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1.
8. Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted. Candidates who are allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats. They cannot vacate their seats. This rule is per the orders made by the Supreme court of India.

How to Apply Tripura NEET UG Counselling

  • Step I: The candidate must visit the official website. 
  • Step 2: Click on the “New Registration” Option.
  • Step 3 (Personal Information): After the successful registration and activating account, candidates need to fill in their personal information. Make sure all the information is correct while filling out the application form.
  • Step 4 (Upload Photo and Signature): After entering the personal information, the candidate should upload their passport-size photograph. The photograph must be of high contrast. The photo must be snapped with a placard containing the candidate’s name and snapping date. The candidate should also upload a full signature in Hindi. They should also upload a full signature in English. The signatures should not be in capital letters. The signatures should be uploaded after duly scanning the same. After uploading a photo and signature, click the “Save & Continue” button.
  • Step 5 (Educational Information): After uploading the scanned photo and signature, the candidate should enter their educational information. They should do this on the computer screen. Then click the “Save & Continue” button.
  • Step 6 (Payment of Counselling Fee): After filling in all the required details, candidates must pay the Counselling Fee. The counselling Fee will not be refunded.
    There are the following two modes for payment of the Counselling Fee:
  • a. Payment by Bank Challan: If the candidate wants to pay the Counselling Fee. They should select the offline / NEFT Challan option. This option will appear on a computer screen. They should download the Challan and get the print. By visiting any Bank up to the scheduled last date, the Counselling Fee may be paid through NEFT mode.
  • b. Online Payment: If the candidate wants to pay the Counselling Fee through Online mode, e.g. Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking, they should select an online option from the payment mode appearing on the computer screen. They should then click on “Make the Payment.”

  • Counselling Fee: The counselling fee to be paid through the above modes is Rs. 1200/- (One Thousand Two Hundred) for Unreserved/ BC / EBC candidates and Rs. 600/- (Six Hundred) only for SC / ST / DQ candidates.
