Law Entrance Exams in India 2024-25: Books, Syllabus

Common-Law Admission Test is also known as CLAT. It is one of the National Level Law Entrance Exams in India. The exam is conducted as per a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the convenience of the students seeking admission to various National Law Universities in India. The authority will conduct Common Law Admission Test 2024 to provide a list of candidates on the basis of ‘merit-cum- preference’ to each University for admission to their Under-Graduate (UG) programme, according to eligibility, reservation, and other criteria.

All India Law Entrance Test also is known as AILET. The board conduct the legal test for admission in National Law University, Delhi and other colleges accepting AILET Score Card. Through the Exam, Aspirants can get admission in UG & PG law courses like B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and PhD professional courses through this entrance exam. The AILET 2023 will be held online in various examination centres spread across 20 cities across India. It is one of the National Level Law Entrance Exams in India.

Law School Admission Test also known as LSAT is conducted worldwide everywhere by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) (LSAC), USA. It is conducted only once in the year in India. LSAT India 2024 is a law entrance exam conducted offline (paper-pencil based). Through this exam, the student can get the opportunity to get admission in various law courses such as five-year integrated undergraduate and two-year postgraduate law programmes in over 85 law schools in India. It is one of the National Level Law Entrance Exams in India.

AIBE, All India Bar Examination (AIBE), is a national-level exam conducted by BCI (Bar Council of India) with the objective of assessing the capability of advocates who want to practice law in India. AIBE 2024 is the qualifying examination to get the “Certificate of Practice” for the legal profession.

IPU CET LAW 2024 is one of the most popular Law Entrance Examination in India conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi (IPU). Successful candidates of IPU CET Law Entrance Exam 2024 will be eligible to apply for different Law courses [BA+LLB, BBA+LLB] offered by different Law colleges in Delhi/NCR. It is one of the University Level Law Entrance Exams.

It was noted that Lloyd Law College Test admissions are done on the basis of a candidate’s LET (Lloyd entrance test) score and the performance in the personal interview round. LET (Lloyd entrance test) is a paper-pencil (Offline) based test that candidates need to complete in two hours duration. The paper consists of questions based on subjects such as General Knowledge and English Language, Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude and Legal Awareness as well as Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

ULSAT entrance exam which is conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies for candidates who want admissions to law courses offered at College of Legal Studies (CoLS). ULSAT is an online test and consists of questions from Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude. Banaras Hindu University is one of the famous institutes for legal education in the country and was founded in the year 1916. The law department of BHU Varanasi is also known as BHU Law College. It is the 6th legal institute in India to provides Clinical Legal. The institute offers various programs in legal files such as 3 Year Full-Time LL.B Programme and 2 Year Full-Time LL.M Programme.

AMU BA 2024 LLB is a university level examination for UG (undergraduates) offering 220 seat admission for students. The entrance exam for AMU BA LLB 2024 will be conducted around the fourth week of May 2024 via offline mode. Only those students will sit for the exam who will meet the eligibility criteria according to university.

Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune conducts BVP CET (BVP Common Entrance Test) for those candidates seeking admission to Law programmes such as LLB, BA LLB and BBA LLB which is offered by the Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University. Every year, the university gives 540 students admission through BVP CET. The application form for BVP CET 2024 will be available online from the second week of February.

Christ University Entrance Test is conducted for B Tech, BBA, BBA (Hons), BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLM, B Com (Hons), B Com (International Finance), B Com (Professional), BA-CEP and BHM. Christ University entrance test 2024 will be conducted in the second week of May. Students who have successfully qualified the exam are called for the further selection process.

DU LLB 2024 is one of the most popular Undergraduate level  Entrance Examination in India conducted by Faculty of Law, University of Delhi Law Entrance Exam, Commonly known as DU LLB. Successful candidates for DU LLB 2024 Entrance Examination 2024 will be eligible to get admission in one of India’s top law college.

KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology), Bhubaneshwar, a Deemed to be University conducts its exam KIITEE annually at the national level for admission to its various UG and PG level programmes. The online application for 2024 session exam will start from the third week of November 2024 and will continue until the second week of April 2024.

AP LAWCET (Andhra Pradesh Law Entrance Test) is a common entrance test conducted for the different LLB programmes offered by the participating institutes. AP LAWCET 2024 is conducted for students who want to take admissions to the three-year LL.B programme, LL.B (Hons.), as well as five-year integrated law programmes including B.A LL.B, B.A LL.B Hons., B.B.A LL.B, B.Com L.L.B. The entrance exam is conducted in both Telugu and English languages in online mode.

RULET stands for Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test conducted every year via Rajasthan University. The examination aims to invite candidates to apply for the different courses offered by Rajasthan University. Those candidates who are planning to take admission to Rajasthan University are required to crack RULET 2024-25 Examination and if passed the test then can go for the Law course.

MHCET Law (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) for Law is a national level examination conducted by Higher Education Directorate (HED) Maharashtra, to take admission in law courses offered at the law colleges in the state. Through the entrance exam, after the successful exam law aspirants are shortlisted for admissions to Five-year LLB courses offered at 120 law colleges and, Three-year LLB courses offered at 135 law colleges.

KEAM 2024 is a Kerala state-level exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala, for admissions into the LLB courses offered by various government and private colleges of the state. The exam was initially conducted for admission in courses of Law, Engineering and Architecture colleges of Kerala.

Osmania University, Hyderabad will conduct the TS LAWCET 2024 exam on behalf of Telangana State Higher Education Council (HEC). TS LAWCET is a state-level entrance exam. This exam is conducted to offer admission to the applicant in three years or five year UG law courses for the academic year of 2024-25.
