    Jharkhand NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria

    Educational CriteriaThe Candidate must have passed PCB/Bio-technology and English individually and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. Regarding the candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC-I or BC-II, the minimum marks obtained in PCB/Bio-technology in the qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50% for Unreserved General-EWS Candidates.
    Regarding PwD candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in PCB (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology should be 45% instead of 50%.
    Residential CriteriaThe Candidate must be a citizen of India and a Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand. The “Local Resident of Jharkhand” has been defined & identified in 7/Aa. Niti (Sarvdaliaye Baithak) 27/2002 (Khand)ka.-3198/, dated 18.04.2016 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Govt. of Jharkhand.
    A candidate must upload a Local Resident Certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Circle Officer or Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State]. The Notification copy is available under the Downloads column on the Board’s website.
    The Residential Certificate issued by any authority other than the prescribed format will not be entertained, and their claim will be rejected.
    The Local Resident certificate format is available under Act & Circulars column on Board’s website.
    Reservation on Caste BasisThe current reservation policy of Govt. of Jharkhand will be followed for admission to Institutes. Candidates claiming reservation must upload a caste certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Circle Officer or Sub Divisional Officer — (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State]. 
    The caste certificate issued by any other authority and in other than the prescribed format will not be entertained for claiming reservation, and their claim for reservation will be rejected. Letter no. 14/Ja.Ni.-03-13/2015/Ka.-1754 dated 25.02.2019 of Deptt. Of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Govt. of Jharkhand, Candidates belonging to BC – I & BC – II, will have to upload the caste certificate.
    Caste certificates produced by BC -I & BC – II Candidates will be valid only if they do not belong to the creamy layer & it should be mentioned in the caste certificate.

    Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)Candidates from primitive tribal groups can avail of reservation benefits per the Memorandum (Letter No. 5555 Dated 28.06.2016) of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Ranchi. The concerned Memorandum is uploaded on the Board’s Website.
    While filling up the online application form, the eligible candidates from the reserved Category/Quota should claim the benefits of reservation only when they already possess the concerned certificate issued in the proper format by the competent authority.
    Reservation for Person with DisabilitiesThe forgiving benefit of reservation to Divyang candidate, the provisions contained in the clause- 8 of Resolution No.-2249 dated 03.04.2018 issued by Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Ranchi will be followed.
    Candidates claiming reservation must upload Disability Certificate in the proper format, issued by the competent authority [Chairman of the Medical Board & Countersigned by Medical Superintendent/Chief Medical Officer/ Head of the Hospital of Jharkhand State].

    A candidate can visit the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) to register for NEET 2023 Jharkhand State Counselling. Below we have mentioned step by step process of counselling.

    Jharkhand NEET Counselling Procedure

    1. Candidates must check the Jharkhand NEET merit list declared on the official website of JCECEB.
    2. Such candidates included in the merit list for Jharkhand NEET Counselling will have to report to the designated centre with essential documents for Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2023.
    3. Candidates will have to get their documents verified at the allotted centre; then, they will have to select their choice or preference of college and course, considering their rank in the state merit list.
    4. Those candidates who do not get any seat allotted for themselves in the first round of counselling for Jharkhand NEET will be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds.

    Here are the key details about Jharkhand NEET UG counseling:

    1. Counseling Authority: The counseling process in Jharkhand is managed by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). They are responsible for conducting the counseling and seat allocation process.
    2. Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for NEET counseling in Jharkhand, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
      • Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the NEET exam.
      • Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete it on or before December 31 of the admission year.
      • Candidates must satisfy the domicile requirements of Jharkhand state.
    3. Registration: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria need to register themselves for the counseling process. Registration can be done online on the official website of JCECEB. During registration, candidates need to provide their personal details, NEET score, and other required information.

    Counselling Process (AIQ Quota)

    Candidates applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in Jharkhand must register for NEET counselling 2023. Counselling of NEET 2023 for All India Quota will be conducted in four rounds (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Stray Vacancy Round) in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

    1. Candidate Registration: Register on the official website.

    2. Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and lock in the preferences in the online portal.

    3. Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online based on available vacancies and candidates’ choices.

    4. Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round must either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.

    5. New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.

    6. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1.

    7. Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): This is similar to Round 1.

    8. Reporting to college (Round 2): Here, it is to be noted that those who will be allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme court of India.

    How to Apply

    • Step I: The candidate must visit the official website. 
    • Step 2: Click on the “New Registration” Option.
    • Step 3 (Personal Information): After the successful registration and activating account, candidates need to fill his/her personal information. Make sure all the information is correct while filling out the application form.
    • Step 4 (Upload Photo and Signature): After entering the personal information, the candidate should upload his / her passport-size photograph of high contrast (The photo must be snapped with a placard containing the candidate’s name and snapping date) and full signature in Hindi and English (Not in capital letter) after duly scanning the same. After uploading a photo and signature, click the “Save & Continue” button.
    • Step 5 (Educational Information): After uploading the scanned photo and signature, the candidate should enter his / her educational information on the computer screen and click the “Save & Continue” button.
    • Step 6 (Payment of Counselling Fee): After filling in all the required details, candidates must proceed with the payment. The counselling Fee will not be refunded.
      There are the following two modes for payment of the Counselling Fee:
      a. Payment by Bank Challan: If the candidate wants to Pay the Counselling Fee through Bank Challan, he/she should select the offline / NEFT Challan option from Payment mode appearing on a computer screen and download the Challan and get the print and
      visiting any Bank up to the scheduled last date, the Counselling Fee may be paid through NEFT mode.
      b. Online Payment: If the candidate wants to pay the Counselling Fee through Online mode, e.g. Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking, he/she should select an online option from the payment mode appearing on the computer screen and “Make the Payment.”
      should be made through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking. The candidate has to pay a processing charge additional to Counselling Fee for payment through online mode.
    • Counselling Fee: The counselling fee must be paid through the above modes.
