Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2023: Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS Counselling online registration started form 28/06/20223. The Admission in MBBS/BDS programs is predicated on NEET Scorecard and only NEET qualified candidates can apply and take part for Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2023. By Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS counselling, admission to approx 11600 MBBS and 2,900 BDS seats in the state will be granted.

Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, will conduct counselling of TN MBBS 2023 for 85% of seats under state quota and 100% in self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu.     Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2023

    A candidate can visit the office of Health and Family Walfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu To get themselves for NEET 2022 Tamil Nadu State Counselling.

    Step 1: Registration process: Candidates seeking admission must register by filling out the application form’s personal, academic, and required details.

    Step 2: Publishing merit list: After successfully filling out the application form, the counselling conducted authority will publish the state merit list.

    Step 3: Documents verification: Candidates were called for document verification as per their state merit rank, and they had to report to the assigned verification centre with all the required documents.

    Step 4: Choice filling and locking Process: After the successful verification session, candidates are required to fill their choices of courses and colleges and then lock it, and they are advised to enter their preferences carefully as, according to it.

    Step 5: Seat allotments: Based on choices filled, availability of seats, state merit rank, seat reservation, the seats will be allotted to applicants for the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS admission 2023.

    Step 6: Reporting Process: Candidates are required to report at the designated colleges within the required date and timings for granting the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2023 admission.

    NEET Counselling Procedure

    Counselling Process (AIQ Quota)

    Candidate applying for Medical/Dental Colleges in Tamil Nadu must have to register themselves for the NEET counselling 2023. Counselling of NEET 2023 for All India Quota will be conducted in two rounds in online mode. The counselling will consist of these steps.

    1. Candidate Registration: Register to the official website.

    2. Choice Filling and Locking (Round 1): You have to choose the courses and colleges of your preference and finally lock-in the preferences in the online portal.

    3. Seat Allotment Result (Round 1): The seat allotment will be published online on the basis of available vacancies and candidate’s choices.

    4. Reporting to college: Those who will be allotted a seat in the first round, will be required to either reject the allotted seat or report to the allotted college and complete the admission formalities.

    5. New Registration (Round 2): For candidates who couldn’t register in the first round of counselling.

    6. Fresh Choice Filling and Locking (Round 2): Similar to round 1 mentioned above.

    7. Seat Allotment Result (Round 2): Similar to round 1 mentioned above.

    8. Reporting to college (Round 2): Here it is to be noted that, those who will be allotted a seat in the second round of counselling (15% AIQ Quota) will not be permitted to vacate their seats as per the orders made by the Supreme court of India.

    Important Instruction

    Tamil Nadu NEET-UG 2023 Counselling Important Instruction

    • Candidates can only download the call letters for counselling from websites www.tnmedicalselection.org, www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in and attend the counselling.
    • No Individual call letters will be sent.
    • Candidates should be present one hour before the commencement of counselling along with one of their parent at their own cost.
    • Candidates should produce a Demand Draft payable at Chennai for Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai – 10.” at the time of counselling as processing fee.
    • Candidates should produce the original certificates/documents without which the candidates will not be allowed to participate in the counselling.
    • Since more number of candidates is being called for counselling, allotment is not guaranteed to everyone.
    • Candidates should bring the Demand Draft towards Tuition fee as prescribed in the fee details annexed below and produce the Demand Draft at the time of getting provisional allotment order.
    • Candidates are informed to read the instructions given in call letter carefully.
    • Candidates can attend the counselling as per the date, time and mark mentioned in the schedule if they are unable to download the call letter from the websites.
    • If the candidate is absent for the 1st phase of counselling called for, he/she cannot attend the subsequent phases of counselling.
    • Those candidates who opted out of Govt. /SF MBBS/ Govt. BDS/SF BDS when seats were available in the 1st phase of counselling are not eligible to claim the same in the subsequent phases of counselling.
    • Candidates allotted under Government Quota of Self Financing MBBS who do not join the course the tuition fee amount of Rs. 25,000/- paid as Demand Draft will not be refunded.
    • Candidates are informed to view the websites daily for vacancy position in Govt. MBBS/ Govt. Quota in Self Financing MBBS and Govt. BDS/Govt Quota in Self-financing BDS till the end of counselling.
    • Candidates shall only opt for the vacancies available at their turn.
    • Mobile Phones and other communication devices are not allowed in the counselling hall during their turn.

    How to Apply

    • Step I: Candidate must visit the official website
    • Step 2: Candidates should fill the form online on www.tnhealth.org and submit they’re filled in the online application form after uploading the details in the required fields. With necessary enclosures, students should send the printout filled in an online application form.
    • Step 3: The cost of the application form which is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) should be paid through the Bank payment portal in the websites or by means of Demand Draft that is drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10” payable at Chennai.
    • Step 4: Students should send Application form to THE SECRETARY, SELECTION COMMITTEE, 162, PERIYAR E.V.R. HIGH ROAD, KILPAUK, CHENNAI – 10.
    • Step 5: Then the Merit list will be published.”Save & Continue” button.
    • Step 6: And finally the Result will be published.
    • Step 7: Then students will have to undergo Document Verification, fee submission, and reporting.
    • Step 8: Students can either go for the up-gradation or can surrender the seat.
    • Step 7: A person is eligible to participate in the Mop-up round if after 2nd round there is no allotment happened.

    Documents Required

    • NEET- UG 2023 Admit card and Scorecard.
    • Class X Mark Sheet (both sides of Mark Sheet).
    • Class XII Mark Sheet (both sides of Mark Sheet).
    • H.S.C. Mark sheet (both sides of Mark Sheet) or any other equivalent examination.
    • Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or equivalent courses.
    • Certificate for proof of study from VI Std. to XII Std for the candidates who have studied completely in Tamil Nadu.
    • Permanent Community Certificate.
    • Nativity certificate.
    • Birth Certificate of the Candidate.
    • Parent Documents need to be uploaded for the candidates who claim their native as Tamil Nadu as follows:-
      • SSLC / PUC / HSC Mark sheet
      • Transfer Certificate
      • Non-literate parents should produce First Graduate Certificate.
      • Community Certificate (Who claims communal reservation)
      • Aadhar Card / Driving Licence / Voter ID
      • Ration Card / Passport

    Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria

    • Nationality: candidate must be an Indian citizen.
      • Domicile Candidate: The candidate must be a bona fide resident of TN.
      • Candidates who have completed their class 6 to 12 education from the state are not required to submit the nativity certificate. However, they have to submit their parent’s birth certificate ration card, SSLC/10/12 certificate, or no graduate certificate if their parents are illiterate.
      • Applications from other states living in Tamil Nadu are not considered domicile and must be admitted in the open category.
      • Domiciles of Tamil Nadu who have completed their partial education from class 6 to 12th in another state must submit the important documents of their parents as mentioned above. A permanent residence certificate will not be accepted as an alternative to the nativity certificate.
      • Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years old. The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years for the general category and 30 years for SC ST and OBC.
      • Education: The candidate must have completed class 12th in the required subjects(PCB) with biotechnology and English as the main subjects from the state.
      • The unreserved category must have at least 50% in PCB, while SC ST and OBC students must obtain 40% in the required subjects.
