FAQs:

Q. How will the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS counselling 2026 be conducted?

A. The counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2026 will be held online mode.

Q. Which is better 15% AIQ quota or state quota?

A. The All India Quota (AIQ) consists of 15% of the total seats in NEET UG, with the remaining 85% reserved for the state quota. The competition for the All India quota is fierce, as students from all over the country vie for admission to the most prestigious colleges. On the other hand, aspirants have a better chance of securing admission in a college with lower competition. The only limitation is that students must select a college within their home state. Therefore, depending on their aspirations and objectives, students can maximize their advantage in the admission process.

Q. When will the NEET UG Tamil Nadu Counselling process start?

A. The authority releases the online application forms.

Q. How many rounds are held for state quota seats?

A. State-level institutes carry out a total of four rounds to allocate admission to 85% of available seats. These rounds include Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. If all seats are filled after three rounds, the fourth round will not take place.

Q. How many seats are there in NEET in Tamil Nadu?

A. The Tamil Nadu MBBS 2026 counselling process will allocate a total of 12,000+ MBBS seats for admission.

Q. What is the benefit of NEET 2026 state quota?

A. The state quota accounts for 85% of the total college seats, leading to increased admissions in each respective institution. With only state students eligible for this quota, competition decreases, giving aspiring students higher chances of securing a spot in a college.

Q. Can I participate in the state quota as well as the AIQ quota?

A. Yes, Students are eligible to apply for both quotas. Initially, candidates must submit their applications for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, followed by the admissions for the state quota. Admission to their preferred colleges is determined by the scores achieved, the availability of seats, and the colleges chosen by the students.

Q. Can other state students apply for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling?

A. Yes Students who have completed their education from classes 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for Tamil Nadu NEET counseling under the open category, but they will not be considered for the state quota.
