Delta Medical College was established in the year 2006 with the commitment to produce quality doctors who would not only be good human beings, but also be highly qualified so as to meet the growing demands of the future. The college campus is located at Mirpur-1 in Dhaka. The college has its own 10 storied academic building and the hospital is in the adjoining 8 storied building.
The Delta Medical College offers undergraduate programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The MBBS curriculum conforms to the requirements of the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC), which is the registering body for doctors in Bangladesh.
The Governing Body of the college is comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dhaka University and Trustee Board and headed by the Chairman, Professor Dr. Syed Mukarram Ali, with the Principal of the college as member secretary. The college has a rich library equipped with all modern facilities and resources. There is a very good collection of textbooks for both students and teachers, as well as the latest national and international journals.
The college authority strives to oversee the overall progress of the students and thus constantly keeps in touch with the guardians by organizing regular parent-teacher meetings.
Hostel accommodation is available for both male and female students.
