USMLE Training
TAU has partnered with Kapalan University to train students for USMLE. TAU follows a unique approach to prepare students for USMLE Step I and II. The pass rate of its students is on par with other USA and Canadian students. Students in the USA clinical track are given orientation towards the USA clinical requirements and Residency.
Residency Program

Texila American University (TAU), located in Guyana, is an International Medical University, commenced in 2010. The University offers several programs in Medicine & Nursing verticals. TAU is recognized as per the Medical Council of India Act 1956 Section 13 (4A) & (4B) – Any Indian Citizen shall be eligible for the medical qualification granted by the medical institution in any foreign country.As per the new norms of the MCI ACT Section 13 (4C), the Eligibility Certificate is not required to take the screening test conducted by the Medical Council of India. Texila American University is a member of Caribbean Area Network for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education (CANQATE). CANQATE was established in 2004 as a sub network of International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
Nepal Medical Council (NMC)
Texila American University (TAU) is now recognized by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC). With the main vision to determine the qualification of doctors and to provide registration certificate by taking licensing examination for new doctors and to give recognition to medical institutions for providing formal studies in medical science and training, NMC has been in the field since three decades. The Nepal Medical Council Act was passed in February, 1964.
Bhutan Medical & Health Council (BMHC)
Texila American University (TAU) is recognized by the Bhutan Medical & Health Council (BMHC). BMHC is a composite body created under statutory order of the Royal Government of Bhutan to regulate Medical and Health Profession in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
