Who Can Surrender the Seat?
The seat surrender facility is available to candidates who:
- Joined a seat allotted in Round 1 of Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2026.
- Participated in Round 2 counselling.
- Did not receive an upgraded seat in Round 2.
- Continued to hold their Round 1 seat.
- Now wish to surrender the retained seat.
Punjab NEET UG Seat Surrender Deadline
Eligible candidates can surrender their Round 1 seat by:
September 15, 2026, up to 6:00 PM
Candidates who complete the surrender process within this deadline will not lose their security deposit.
How to Surrender the Seat
Candidates must complete the process personally at the college where they joined:
- Visit the concerned allotted college.
- Report physically to the college authorities.
- Submit a written seat surrender request to the Principal.
- Complete the college’s surrender formalities.
- Obtain written acknowledgement or confirmation of the surrender.
- Preserve a copy of the request and acknowledgement.
The concerned college will process the surrender request after receiving the candidate’s written application.

- Candidates should carefully consider the consequences before surrendering the seat.
- Once the surrender request is submitted, it cannot be reversed.
- Physical reporting at the joined college is mandatory.
