Patna: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the Round 2 online counselling schedule for Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) 2026. The board has also issued instructions regarding resignation or withdrawal from Round 1 allotted seats.
The counselling covers admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical and dental colleges in Bihar. It also includes B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. courses in government veterinary and fisheries colleges based on NEET UG 2026 merit.
New Colleges Added to the Seat Matrix
As per Health Department Letter No. 1246(1), dated September 10, 2026, the following medical colleges have been added to the updated UGMAC seat matrix:
- Sriram Janki Medical College & Hospital, Samastipur — New Government Medical College.
- Government Medical College, Chapra (Saran) — New Government Medical College.
- Kurma Sanskriti Medical College & Hospital, Kurma, Jehanabad — New Private Medical College.
The revised seat matrix, including additional seats in certain private medical colleges, has been uploaded on the BCECEB website.
Who Can Apply for Round 2?
Online registration and application-cum-choice filling are open to eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates who did not submit their UGMAC application earlier under Advertisement Nos. 2026/01 and 2026/02 dated August 7, 2026.
Previously registered candidates can also participate according to their Round 1 status and the applicable BCECEB rules.
Rules for Round 1 Candidates
Freeze Candidates
Freeze candidates must provide consent to participate in Round 2 by logging into their account using their NEET UG 2026 roll number and password.
Freeze and Float Candidates
Freeze and Float candidates may edit their previously submitted choices for Round 2. However, they cannot remove or delete their Round 1 allotted choice from the list. They may change its position by rearranging the choices.
These candidates cannot edit their application form data.
Freeze Candidates Who Joined the Seat
Freeze candidates who completed document verification and took admission but did not resign or withdraw within the prescribed period, and who did not provide consent for Round 2, will be treated as admitted candidates.
Float Candidates
Float candidates who do not edit their earlier choices will be considered for Round 2 allotment based on the same choices.
Candidates Who Resigned or Withdrew
Candidates who resigned from a Freeze seat or withdrew from a Float seat within the notified schedule, including candidates treated as Free Exit candidates, must log in and fill fresh choices for Round 2.
Their previous choices will become null and void. These candidates may also edit their application form data.
Candidates Not Allotted in Round 1
Candidates who did not receive any seat in Round 1 may edit their previously submitted choices and application form details.
Fee and Consent Rules
Candidates who edit or correct application details and become liable to pay an additional fee must pay the full counselling fee and security deposit again.
The amount paid earlier will be refunded through the same payment method used during the original payment.
Round 2 consent will be verified through the candidate’s login password and an OTP sent to the registered mobile number or email ID.
Candidates cannot edit core details, including:
- Candidate name.
- Father’s or mother’s name.
- Date of birth.
- Gender.
- Domicile Quota (DQ).
- Mobile number.
- Email ID.
- Proof of identity.

Eligible candidates should:

- Open the UGMAC 2026 counselling section.
- Log in using the required credentials.
- Complete fresh registration, where applicable.
- Provide consent for Round 2, if required.
- Fill or edit college and course preferences.
- Pay the applicable counselling fee and security deposit.
- Lock the choices before the deadline.
- Download the application confirmation and allotment documents.
