CG NEET UG 2026 Round 1 MBBS BDS Counselling Notice Released

The wait is finally over for NEET UG 2026 qualifiers in Chhattisgarh. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, has officially released the notification for the Round 1 counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2026-27. As per the official notice, online registration for the first phase of counselling will commence on August 9, 2026.

This registration/security amount is refundable, but if a candidate does not take admission after allotment in any round beyond the first, or takes admission and later leaves the seat, the amount will be forfeited. This fee does not apply to the BDS course.

Important Points for Candidates

  1. Fresh Merit List: A new merit list will be released for each counselling round.
  2. Upgradation Option: Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 can seek upgradation only in Round 2 if they selected the upgradation option during registration.
  3. EWS Category: EWS eligibility will be based strictly on the category declared in the NEET UG 2026 result data provided by NTA. Category changes are not permitted during state counselling.
  4. Complete Registration Early: Candidates should complete registration and fee payment at least 24 hours before the deadline to avoid issues caused by incomplete forms or payment failures.
  5. Fee Payment: Registration fees should be paid through the candidate’s own bank account or that of a parent/guardian. An alternate active bank account should be maintained for refunds.
  6. Reporting After Allotment: Candidates must report to the allotted college within the specified deadline for document verification. Failure to report will lead to exclusion from the current counselling session.
  7. Fee Forfeiture: If a Government, Private, or NRI quota seat remains vacant after allotment and the candidate does not join, the deposited registration fee may be forfeited.
