Jharkhand MBBS/BDS/BHMS 2026 Round 2 and 3 Revised Schedule Out

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), Ranchi, has released the revised schedule for the second and third rounds of online counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses.

The schedule has been revised following the directions issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, regarding the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 and Round 3 state counselling timeline.

The revised dates apply to vacant seats under the State Quota, All India Quota and NRI Quota.

Round 2 Revised Schedule

There is no change in the activities conducted before the provisional seat allotment letter. The allotment and admission dates have been extended.

Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must complete verification and admission at the concerned institute within the updated period.

The Jharkhand Round 3 counselling schedule has been postponed substantially.

Seats Covered

The revised schedule applies to vacant seats in:

  • MBBS, BDS and BHMS State Quota seats.
  • Vacant 60% All India Quota seats in MBBS.
  • Vacant 15% NRI Quota seats in MBBS.
  • Vacant All India Quota and NRI Quota seats in BDS.

The medical colleges covered include:

  • Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College and Hospital, Palamu.
  • Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Seraikela-Kharsawan.
  • Sido Kanhu Medical College and Hospital, Dumka.
  • Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Khunti.

The BDS seats covered include vacancies at:

  • Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, Garhwa, under Babu Dinesh Singh University.

Upgradation in Round 3

Candidates admitted in Round 1 or Round 2 can participate in Round 3 if they want to upgrade their course or institute against the available vacant seats.

Upgradation will be conducted only up to the third round.

If a candidate receives a new seat in Round 3:

  • Admission to the earlier seat will automatically stand cancelled.
  • The candidate must join the newly allotted course and institute.
  • The vacated seat will be offered to another candidate according to merit and choice.
  • The candidate may be shifted to another category or quota based on vacancy and merit.

No Fresh Application for Listed Candidates

Candidates already included in the State Merit List do not need to submit a fresh online application for Round 3.

However, new candidates must submit the online application within the notified application window.

Registered candidates should log in and verify whether any editing or choice-filling action is required.

State Quota to All India Quota

Candidates admitted to a State Quota seat in Round 2 who receive an All India Quota seat in Round 3 must surrender their State Quota seat.

The candidate must submit resignation to the admitting institute by:

October 3, 2026

The security money will be forfeited in such cases.

Candidates should carefully consider the financial and admission consequences before opting for an upgrade from State Quota to All India Quota.

Important Instructions

  • Check the revised schedule carefully.
  • Complete Round 2 admission by September 19, 2026.
  • New candidates must submit applications within the Round 3 window.
  • Fill and lock choices before October 7 at 6:00 PM.
  • Check the revised vacant seat matrix on October 5, if released.
  • Candidates receiving a revised seat must join the new institute.
  • Carry original documents for verification.
  • Follow all earlier eligibility, reservation and fee conditions unless specifically modified.

Earlier advertisements JCECEB/46/26-47, JCECEB/46/26-52 and JCECEB/46/26-53 stand modified to the extent mentioned in the revised notice. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
