Along with the UGCET Round 2 allotment, KEA has also issued important instructions for Medical and Dental (NEET) candidates who wish to exit KEA counselling in order to take admission to seats allotted through MCC’s first round.

Choice Options for UGCET Candidates
Candidates allotted seats in the second round can select only Choice-1 or Choice-4.
- Candidates selecting Choice-1 must accept the allotted seat and complete admission at the concerned college.
- Candidates choosing Choice-4 will not accept the allotted seat and may be allowed to participate in a later round, subject to KEA rules.
- Candidates who do not select Choice-1 but want to participate in Round 3 must cancel their second-round allotment.
- A penalty of ₹5,000 may be applicable for cancelling the Round 2 seat.
- Such candidates must log in again and pay the registration fee afresh for the third round.
Candidates should read the official KEA instructions carefully before selecting an option, as the decision may affect their eligibility for subsequent counselling rounds.
Medical and Dental Courses – First Round Next Steps (Exit to MCC)
- KEA has also issued separate instructions for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses through NEET.
- The provisional first-round allotment result for Medical and Dental courses was announced on 23 August 2026. Candidates who receive a seat through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and wish to join that seat can exit from KEA counselling by selecting Choice-4.
- The KEA exit facility will remain available from 25 August to 26 August 2026. Candidates must log in to the KEA counselling portal and complete the exit process within the specified period.
Re-Run of Medical and Dental Allotment
- After candidates exit from KEA counselling, the seats they leave vacant may be included in a re-run of the first-round allotment process.
- KEA will use the options already submitted by candidates for this process. Candidates will not be permitted to make changes to their existing choices.
- After the re-run, KEA will publish a revised final allotment result. Eligible candidates may also be considered for an upgrade to a higher-preference seat, depending on seat availability and the applicable counselling rules.
- The choice-selection portal for Medical and Dental courses will be enabled after the revised allotment process is completed.
