All India Students Can Apply
Under the new provision, candidates from any Indian state can apply for the designated 15% AIQ BDS seats in Kerala’s self-financing dental colleges. Admission will be based on the NEET UG rank list, and candidates will not need Kerala domicile or nativity for these seats.
Why The Policy Was Introduced
The Kerala Government had already provided an All India Quota provision for certain courses, including MBBS, BAMS, BSMS, and BUMS, in self-financing institutions. However, a similar arrangement was previously unavailable for BDS admissions in self-financing dental colleges.
The issue was examined after a petition filed by the Principal of PMS College of Dental Science and Research before the Kerala High Court. After discussions with self-financing dental colleges, the government approved the 15% AIQ provision for BDS admissions from 2026–27.
Admission Through NEET UG
Candidates seeking Kerala BDS AIQ admission must:
