The Vokkaligara Sangha established Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences – KIMS Bangalore in the year 1980.
The Vokkaligara Sangha applied for permission to start a medical college from the year 1980-81 to the Registrar, Bangalore University. In the year 1980, the then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri R Gundu Rao laid the foundation stone of the KIMS Bangalore in the premises of the Sangha. Eligibility for MBBS Course
