The Office of the Director of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Meghalaya, has issued a notification announcing that counselling for UG MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses for the academic year 2026-2027 under State Quota will be held from 1st to 3rd September 2026.
About the Notification
Vide No. DHSMER.150/MBBS Admission/2026-27/5286 dated 31st August 2026, the DME, Meghalaya, informed candidates that counselling, as informed during screening, will cover State Quota seats – including Central Pool seats and Shillong Medical College, Shillong – and will be conducted as per allotted time slots. Candidates unable to attend on Day 1 have been permitted to attend on Day 2 or Day 3.

As per the notification, all candidates are requested to bring the following original documents:
- Birth Certificate
- Permanent Residential Certificate
- SC/ST Certificate
Candidates should note that a subsequent addendum to this notification has expanded the document requirements to include the NEET Score Card, Admit Card, mark sheets, and Aadhar Card, among others.
Candidates participating in Meghalaya UG MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Counselling 2026-27 are advised to attend the counselling session within the specified dates (1st to 3rd September 2026) at the designated venue in Shillong, carrying all required original documents to complete the admission process smoothly.
