OJEE 2026 MBBS/BDS Counselling Guidelines Released – Fees, Schedule

The OJEE authority has released detailed guidelines for Odisha MBBS and BDS counselling 2026. NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates seeking State Quota and NRI Quota medical and dental seats must follow the prescribed registration, choice filling, and admission process. Who Can Apply

NEET UG 2026 qualified Odisha domicile candidates can apply for State Quota MBBS and BDS seats.
State and outside-state NRI candidates who qualify NEET UG 2026 can apply for NRI quota seats.
Applicants must be Odisha natives or eligible children of All India Civil Service officers in the Odisha cadre.
Candidates need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology from a recognised board.
There is no upper age limit, but candidates must be 17 years old by December 31, 2026.

The minimum NEET-UG qualifying percentile varies by category -50th percentile for General candidates, 45th for PwBD-General, 40th for SC/ST, and 50th for SEBC, among other category-specific norms.

Reservation Policy

Odisha MBBS and BDS counselling follows the state reservation policy, including ST 22.5%, SC 16.25%, SEBC 11.25%, and EWS 10%. Horizontal reservations cover PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Green Card holders, and State Government School students. Reserved-category candidates must submit valid Odisha-issued certificates during document verification.

Documents Required

Candidates will need to upload/produce Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and marksheets, NEET 2026 rank card, photograph, nativity/residence certificate, relevant reservation category certificates (if applicable), and a signed admission bond.

Registration and Counselling Process

The Odisha NEET UG 2026 counselling process begins with online registration on the OJEE portal using the candidate’s NEET UG application number and personal details. Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1,000 online. After document verification, the State Merit List is prepared based on NEET UG 2026 rank. Eligible candidates must fill and lock their preferred courses and colleges. Seat allotment is based on merit, choices, and seat availability. Candidates can choose Freeze to retain the seat or Float for upgradation. Counselling will include three rounds, followed by a stray vacancy round if seats remain. Selected candidates must complete physical reporting and admission formalities as directed by OJEE.

Fee Structure

As per the notice, the annual fee structure is as follows:

  1. Government Medical/Dental Colleges: ₹37,950 per annum.
  2. Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar: ₹11,56,000 per annum.
  3. Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Rourkela: ₹8,54,000 per annum.
  4. DRIEMS Institute of Health Sciences & Hospital: ₹9,08,000 per annum.
  5. Private Dental Colleges: ₹3,00,000 per annum.
  6. NRI Candidates: Four times the applicable private college fee.
  7. University Registration Fee: ₹3,500, applicable to all admitted candidates.

Hostel and other institutional charges may vary by college and will be collected separately at the institution level.

Bond and Withdrawal Rules

All candidates admitted through Odisha MBBS and BDS counselling 2026 must execute a bond on non-judicial stamp paper as prescribed by the Health and Family Welfare Department. Candidates withdrawing before the specified deadline will receive a 90% fee refund, after a 10% processing deduction. No refund will be provided after the withdrawal deadline.
