ISM is one of the top higher educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan where the program with the medium of instruction in English. As a part of IUK the ISM have signed the Bologna agreement (EU), which sets up single and commonly European educational standards.
The International School of Medicine of International University of Kyrgyzstan is an official state educational institution with the license of Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyz Republic for medical education in General Medicine within 5 years of study.
At present time more than 1800 student are studying into International University of Kyrgyzstan among them 760 students are studying in the medical faculties from different countries.

The International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK) was created in March 1993 by a decree of President of the Kyrgyz Republic that gave the University a status of international higher education institution. The founders of the IUK are the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Academy of Sciences and San Francisco State University (USA). In short period of time the IUK has become one of the leading higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian region. The IUK awards diplomas of state standard.
The IUK is located in Bishkek – the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. Building of the IUK is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings of Bishkek that is located on a central street of the city. In addition to Bishkek Campus, the university has three campuses which are located in the following cities: Osh and Jalal-Abad (southern region of Kyrgyzstan) and in Karakol-city (Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan).
The IUK is a member of the World Association of Universities and Colleges (WAUC), Association of European Universities (EUA), European Association for International Education (EAIE), Global Alliance for Transnational Education (GATE), Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), International Association of Universities under UNESCO.
The IUK was awarded with International Gold Quality Star 2001, founded by the BID (Business Initiatives Directions) – organization, which during the many years selects companies and institutions with strong activity and business, leadership, new technologies implementation and innovation. In 2001 the IUK has entered to the list of 30 best universities of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
All the programs are implemented with the use of integration and modules based modern training technology developed with the support of World Health Organization (WHO) Experts.
Training at ISM is conducted according to the European System of Transformation of Credits (ESTC), which enables to move from any course of studies at ISM to European universities.”All the ISM programs are approved and Licensed by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health of Kyrgyz Republic.”
