Shahabuddin Medical College was established in 2002, fulfilling all the guidelines and criteria set up by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council and University of Dhaka. Shahabuddin Medical College is one of the best and leading Medical colleges of Bangladesh.
The College is affiliated with University of Dhaka and also recognized by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). The Shahabuddin Medical College is also enlisted in the Medical College in the world directory of medical schools and International Medical Education Directory (IMED).
Shahabuddin Medical College has 12 storied academic building and 500 bedded well equipped modernized Hospital with all academic and patient care facilities. The Hospital is situated adjacent to the college building with all clinical department- Medicine, Surgery, Gynecologist and Obstetrics and all other ancillary departments. Most Modern diagnostic tools and hospital logistics are available in the 500 bedded hospitals.
Shahabuddin Medical College has Well-equipped Modern Lecture halls , Very good Hostel Facilities for both local and overseas students. Library with all recommended Text books, Reference books, Journals including International ones are provided. Internet facilities are also available. Extra academic cultural activities, games and sports facilities are there. The medium of instruction is in English.
