Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has released the detailed Round 2 admission procedure for Uttarakhand State Centralized NEET UG Counselling 2026.
The notification explains the admission steps for Freeze and Float candidates, advance tuition fee requirements, online document verification, college reporting and the documents required for MBBS and BDS admission.
Admission Procedure for Freeze Candidates
Candidates who choose to Freeze their allotted seat must complete the following steps:
- Log in to the official counselling website.
- Download the allotment letter.
- Accept the allotted seat.
- Upload all mandatory documents.
- Wait for online verification by the allotted college.
- Pay the advance tuition fee after document verification.
- Download the fee receipt and Freeze confirmation slip.
- Report to the allotted college with the receipt and original documents.
- Pay the remaining tuition fee and applicable charges directly to the college.
- Collect the admission letter from the institute.
Candidates who confirm the Freeze option and complete admission at the allotted college will not be eligible to participate in subsequent counselling rounds.
Admission Procedure for Float Candidates
The Float process applies to both newly allotted candidates and candidates whose seats have been upgraded.
Float candidates must:
- Log in using their counselling credentials.
- Download the allotment letter.
- Accept the allotted seat.
- Upload all required documents.
- Wait for online verification by the allotted college.
- Download the Float confirmation slip.
Float candidates do not need to appear for physical document verification at the allotted institute. Document verification will be completed online.
Candidates upgraded from a Round 1 Float seat to a new institute in Round 2 must re-upload their documents for verification by the new college. If they fail to do so, their previous Float seat will be cancelled.
Candidates who selected Float in Round 1 but did not receive an upgrade in Round 2 do not need to take any action. Their earlier Float seat will remain unchanged.

Accepted Payment Methods
Candidates can pay the centralized advance tuition fee through:
- Net banking.
- Debit card.
- Credit card.
- Online-generated bank transfer challan.
The remaining tuition fee, admission fee, hostel fee, mess fee, security deposit and other applicable charges must be paid directly to the allotted college.
Important Deadlines and Conditions
Freeze candidates must upload all required documents and complete online verification by September 18, 2026. Failure to complete the process by the deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
Other important rules include:
- The allotment is provisional and based on information submitted during registration.
- NRI candidates must upload the required NRI-related documents online.
- Candidates who do not select either Freeze or Float before the deadline will lose the Round 2 seat.
- Such candidates may participate in Round 3, subject to eligibility.
- Freeze candidates who fail to complete admission formalities will have their seats cancelled.
- Cancelled seats may be included in the Round 2 vacant seat matrix.
- If a candidate leaves a seat after joining, a maximum deduction of ₹6,000 may be made from the deposited tuition fee, along with charges for services already used.
- No separate call letters will be issued; candidates must follow updates on the official website.
Documents Required for Admission
Candidates must carry the following original documents during reporting:
- Allotment letter.
- Proof of centralized advance tuition fee payment.
- Class 10 certificate for age verification.
- Class 12 certificate.
- Class 12 mark sheet.
- NEET UG 2026 admit card.
- NEET UG 2026 result or rank letter.
- Uttarakhand-issued SC, ST, OBC or EWS certificate, if applicable.
- Valid OBC-NCL certificate, wherever applicable.
- Sub-category certificate for FF, Orphan, DPW or PwBD candidates, if applicable.
- PwBD certificate issued by an NMC-designated Medical Board.
- Kashmiri Migrant certificate, if applicable.
- Uttarakhand domicile certificate, wherever required.
- Valid identity proof such as Aadhaar, passport, PAN card or driving licence.
- Any additional document required by the allotted college.
- Proof of payment of remaining tuition, hostel and mess fees.
Candidates whose original documents are deposited at another college or university will not be allowed admission on the basis of a letter stating that the documents are deposited elsewhere.
