CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2027

The official CLAT 2027 notification will include details about the CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2027. Based on the previous year (CLAT 2025 criteria), here is the eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board or institution.
  • Minimum marks required:
      • For General / OBC / Others / Persons with Disability: 45% in Class 12 exams
      • For SC / ST: 40% in Class 12 exams
  • Students who are appearing for the Class 12 examination in March/April 2027 should also be eligible to apply. They should provide the proof of passing later.
  • If a candidate fails to produce a Class 12 passing certificate after admission, their candidature is liable to be cancelled. 

Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit prescribed for CLAT. As long as the educational qualification is satisfied, a candidate may appear.

CLAT 2027 Application Process

CLAT 2027 application process for UG courses is as follows:

  1. Registration: Visit the official CLAT / Consortium of NLUs website. Register using a valid mobile number and email address. An OTP (one-time password) is sent to the mobile number for verification.
  2. Login and Fill Form: After registration and verification, log in with your credentials. Fill in the personal details, academic qualifications, choice of NLUs, exam centre preferences, etc.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), etc.
  4. Pay Application Fee: Pay the fee as per category (the amounts will be published in the notification). For reference, in the CLAT 2025 notification, the application fees were: General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI : ₹4,000 and for SC / ST / EWS : ₹3,500
  5. Submit and Confirm: Once submitted, no changes are allowed in program, category, BPL status, etc. If discrepancies or mismatches are found (especially in name), candidature may be rejected.

CLAT Exam Pattern 2027

Understanding the CLAT 2027 exam pattern is important for effective preparation, as it specifies question format, duration, marking scheme, section-wise questions, and weightage.

The Consortium is expected to release the CLAT admit card at least 15 days before the exam. Students can download the CLAT hall ticket until 1:30 pm on exam day. Students can download the CLAT admit card 2027 by following the process given below

What to carry on the exam day? ()

  • CLAT 2027 admit card
  • Two passport-size photographs (preferably the same as the one submitted with the application form)
  • A valid photo Id proof (Passport/ Aadhaar card, Driving Licence, PAN Card)
  • PWD Certificate (if applicable)

What not to carry? (×)

  • A stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Pen, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
  • Communication devices like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
  • Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap Watch/Wrist Watch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
  • Any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle, tea, coffee, cold drinks, etc.
  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means, by hiding communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.
  • Candidates suffering from diabetes are allowed to carry eatables (with prior intimation) like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) and a transparent water bottle. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolate/ candy/sandwich, etc.

CLAT Answer Key 2027

The final answer key of CLAT 2027 will be released soon. CLAT answer key will be published online through the website. The aspirant may have an opportunity for an online challenge against the answer key. All of the right answers to the questions asked in the offline entrance examination of CLAT2027 will be present in the answer key.

CLAT Result 2027

The Consortium will announce the CLAT Counselling Dates along with the results. During the CLAT 2027 counselling process, candidates can accept, upgrade, or exit their allotted seat in any counselling round.
