Admission MBBS : Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University) was granted the status of Deemed to be University by University Grants Commission, on 24th May, 2005. Immediately after getting the Deemed to be University status, the DMIMS(DU) has opted for inspection by National Assessment & Accreditation Council, and accordingly Peer Team from NAAC inspected the DMIMS(DU) campus and its constituent units and accredited the DMIMS (Deemed to be University) with ‘A’ Grade, in March 2007. Thereafter, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University) was conferred ‘A’ Grade status by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India amongst the Deemed Universities in the Country, in the month of May 2013.

Eligibility Criteria criteria for MBBS in Datta meghe institute of medical sciences

Candidates must be at least 17 years of age, and must have passed / appeared for the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology and with 60% marks for this group from a recognized board in the country, i.e. CBSE / ISC / State Board or the equivalent. A 5% relaxation is given for reserved categories.

Selection Process

As per the Indian Medical Council Act – 1956, as amended in 2016 & Dentist Act – 1984 as amended in 2016, online applications are invited for NEET UG – 2023.

The exam will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission MBBS/BDS Courses in India approved by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

AIMS & JIPMER Pondicherry are only two exceptions from NEET UG, as they are established through the Act of Parliament of India.

Admission to all seats of MBBS/BDS courses will be done through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2023.
