MBBS Admission
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme is designed to inculcate the necessary empathy in the students as the curriculum extends beyond medicine. Total Intake per year: 150 students
Duration: 4.5 years+1 year compulsory rotatory internship
Every student shall undergo a period of study extending over 4 ½ academe years divided into 9 semesters, (i.e. of 6 months each) from the date of commencement of his/her study for the subjects comprising of the medical curriculum to the date of completion of exanination and followed by one year compulsory rotating internship.
The period of 4years is divided into different phases consist the study of Pre-clinical subjects, para clinical and clinical subjects.

Internship
Students have to do internship compulsorily. The total time period of Internship is 1 year. The posting details are given below:
Medicine – This specialty has a duration of 1 ½ months.
Surgery – This specialty has a duration of 1 ½ months
Rural – This specialty has a duration of 3 months
Paediatrics – This specialty has a duration of 1 month
Obstetrics and Gynaecology – This specialty has a duration of 1 month
Casualty – This specialty has a duration of 1 month
Anaesthesiology – This specialty has a duration of 15 days
Ophthalmology – This specialty has a duration of 15 days
Elective – This specialty has a duration of 2 months
All this will make a total of 12 months
