St. John’s Medical College Hospital was established on December 8, 1975. It was designed to be the core of clinical training. This training is intended for students across medical, nursing, paraclinical, and allied health fields. These fields are affiliated with our institutes. The hospital aims to provide an academically rigorous professional education. It offers a holistic and comprehensive approach. This education is facilitated by our faculty who are also practicing physicians. Over the years, the hospital has expanded from a few hundred beds. It now has over 40 fully developed specialty and super specialty departments. By 2018, it grew to accommodate 2,000 beds. This growth made it one of the largest healthcare facilities under one roof in Bengaluru.
- The 2007 Annual Patient Statistics Report (January to December) recorded a total of 5,03,274 outpatient visits. The daily average was 1,850 patients. During this period, 1,34,803 new outpatients were registered. Additionally, the total number of admissions was 46,609, averaging 148 admissions per day.
