What is NEET Exam?
NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It is the only entrance exam for UG medical and paramedical courses in India. The exam is held once a year in offline mode for 200 minutes.
The NEET exam pattern includes 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, out of which 180 must be attempted. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the exam for MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, Veterinary, and other medical courses.
NEET is conducted in 13 languages, with over 20 lakh aspirants appearing every year. MBBS is the most preferred course, followed by BDS and BSc Nursing. Last year saw a record rise in NEET applicants.
Why NEET 2025 Exam?
The NEET 2025 exam is a mandatory national-level entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure a transparent and uniform admission process in medical colleges.
Key Reasons for NEET 2025:
- Single Entrance Exam – NEET replaces multiple medical entrance exams, making the admission process simpler.
- Mandatory for MBBS & BDS – NEET is the only valid exam for medical admissions in India.
- Admissions to Top Medical Colleges – Government and private medical institutions accept NEET scores.
- Equal Opportunity – Ensures fair selection based on merit, preventing donations or management quota-based admissions.
