The construction of the current B.J. Medical College building commenced in 1948 and was successfully finished in 1950. During this time, super-specialty courses were introduced, offering specialized medical treatment. Currently, a new 11-story building spanning 26,000 square meters is in the process of being constructed at BJMC, thanks to a special grant from the Maharashtra government. In 2006, BJMC and its alumni came together to commemorate the institution’s Diamond Jubilee, an event that led to the formation of an alumni association.
