MCC.NIC.IN: The examination was conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India at medical/dental universities that received the National Medical Commission/Dental Council of India’s approval. The NEET AIQ counseling procedure for 2026 will be divided into four stages: stages 1, 2, mop-up, and stray vacancy.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is now all set to conduct the NEET UG Counselling and NEET PG Counselling in online mode for 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government institutions, central universities, and deemed universities, ESIC, and AFMS institutes. Students who qualify for the 15% All India Quota must apply for NEET-UG/NEET-PG Online Counselling 2026 on mcc.nic.in the official Medical Counselling Committee. Candidates are required to register at the official website and claim the seats. The 15% All India Quota registrations under the NEET examination will soon be on the website.

Firstly, MCC’s full form is the Medical Counselling Committee and the role of this committee is to process the NEET exam result. Till the NEET Result, the role of NTA is important, but after the NEET UG exam result, “mcc.nic.in NEET-UG” has become the main concern of the candidates.

How to apply for NEET UG counselling 2026?

  • Complete the MCC NEET UG registration process, including making the payment.
  • Participate in the NEET 2026 counselling by filling in and locking your choices.
  • Round 1 seat allotment and result declaration.
  • Report to the allotted Medical/Dental College (with the option for free entry/exit).
  • Round 2 net vacant seats are published. NEET UG counselling round 2 registration (not necessary for already registered candidates) and fresh choice filling for NEET UG counselling round 2.
  • Round 2 seat allocation (with an option to exit by forfeiting the security amount).
  • Report to the allotted medical/dental colleges/institutions for Round 2 (candidates who join the allotted seat in this round cannot vacate it).

The AIQ for NEET UG counselling in 2026 will include the following:

  • 15% MBBS/BDS Seats of States

Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC, i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
The respective Deemed Universities shall conduct the Stray Vacancy round.
AIIMS and JIPMERThere will be four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS. Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC, i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. AIIMS shall conduct the Stray Vacancy round
ESICESIC 15% seats would be allotted through All India Quota (Round one & two). The remaining 85% seats shall be treated as state quota seats and open to all the candidates participating in the Mop-up Round.
Central university/instituteThere will be four rounds of NEET 2026 counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round. Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC, i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round. The respective Central University/Institute shall conduct a stray Vacancy round.
