Established in 1983, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT Pune) is an autonomous engineering institute located in Pune, India. Affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, it achieved academic autonomy in 2008-09, making it the first private college in Maharashtra to gain this status. This autonomy allows VIT to include industry-oriented and cross-departmental subjects in its curriculum.
